Band 5 – Statutory Accountant

Position Summary:

Thermo Fisher Scientific have an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the External Reporting Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding Global Business Service Centre which offers great career development and opportunities. The successful candidate will be a key team member working alongside a colleague to ensure accurate reporting.

What will you do?

Preparation of statutory financial statements for a number of Global legal entitiesSupport the completion of a number of statutory audits reported through the Centre of Excellence team ensuring adherence to the external reporting timetableComplete/coordinate local statistical reporting requirements set by authoritiesPreparation of annual board packs and report financial performance to stakeholdersEngage with external advisers to ensure corporate tax returns are completed, reviewed and filed on time.Working cross functionally with the other finance and non-finance teams based both on site and remotely

Highly motivated and detail oriented with excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, computer and organisational skillsSomeone who flourishes working with people to find innovative new solutionsPrevious experience in a large-scale organisation would be beneficialExperience of statutory reporting, management accounting, balance sheetreconciliationsPrior exposure to tax returns & year-end reporting would be advantageousAbility to prioritise and follow through in a fast-paced, multitask environmentAbility to work well under time constraintsProficient in MS ExcelWorking knowledge of ERPs (E1, SAP etc.) (Desired but not essential)
