Compensation: $28.99-$32.21 / hour

Summary

At MOD, you will be a key contributor to our accounting team being responsible for performing a variety of tasks including the analysis and preparation of payroll and other health and benefits accounting entries, utilities and other general and administrative accruals to support our month-end close process. Have a team-first attitude and a willingness to help out wherever needed. This role requires a strong foundation of accounting principles, attention to detail, collaboration with stakeholders cross-functionally and the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple workflows. This role reports to the Manager of Accounting.  

Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries for payroll, health insurance and other employee compensation related costs. Collaborate with the payroll and people teams for information necessary.  Develop the quarterly store bonus file by coordinating with the financial planning and analysis team ensuring bonus targets are met and facilitating reviews with our field leadership team for approval.  Track and manage our third-party commission reporting and accounting on a periodic basis.  Coordinate with external third-parties to obtain data needed for health and insurance related costs.  Prepare period end account reconciliations and other close activities or tasks.  Support other ad hoc accounting projects as needed. Basic Qualifications Strong foundation of accounting principles. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail. Skilled in effectively planning, organizing and managing multiple priorities. High degree of professionalism and integrity. A positive upbeat personality who believes in opportunities rather than obstacles. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP is preferred Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
