Position Summary:
The Accountant II will play a crucial role in preparing, analyzing, and reporting on the company’s financial information. This position is responsible for preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports while providing key insights into trends, costs, revenues, and financial obligations. The Accountant II will assist management in understanding the financial health of the organization, predicting future financial outcomes, and offering strategic recommendations on resource utilization, tax strategies, and budget assumptions. This position operates under general supervision and requires a combination of analytical skills, accounting knowledge, and the ability to interpret financial data to support business decisions.
 
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements for internal and external reporting. Analyze financial data, including trends in revenue, costs, and other key metrics, to provide meaningful insights into business performance. Report financial findings and offer recommendations to management to improve financial decision-making, efficiency, and profitability. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing and maintaining the organization's budget by providing historical data and trend analysis. Offer suggestions on resource utilization, budget assumptions, and future financial forecasts to help improve long-term business strategy. Monitor and track financial commitments and obligations to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints. Trend Analysis & Cost Management: Conduct thorough analyses of company spending, revenues, and financial obligations to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Work with management to predict future revenues, expenses, and potential financial risks, and offer strategies for mitigation. Tax & Compliance Support: Provide insights on tax strategies and recommend adjustments to improve the organization’s tax position and overall financial health. Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies. Collaboration & Reporting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other accounting staff, operations, and management, to gather financial data and assist in decision-making. Assist in the preparation of financial reports for external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies. Process Improvement & Support: Work on process improvements within the accounting department, identifying areas for greater efficiency or accuracy. Provide support to the team, including guidance to junior accounting staff and offering insights on complex financial transactions. Ad hoc Tasks & Other Duties: Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Supervisor to support accounting operations and financial reporting requirements. Contribute to special projects or cross-functional initiatives when necessary.  
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in accounting or a related field. Familiarity with standard accounting principles, concepts, practices, and procedures. Experience preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems) and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of tax regulations and business financial practices.  
Preferred Qualifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is a plus, but not required. Experience in forecasting, budgeting, or financial modeling. Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry where cost and resource management is key.

Adaptability: Ability to work under general supervision and adjust to evolving financial requirements and business needs.  
Work Environment: Office environment with occasional overtime required during peak periods (e.g., month-end or year-end closing). Ability to work in a team setting, supporting colleagues, and providing guidance when necessary.

Pay Details: $24.85 to $30.55 per hour
