Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant II position based in Loveland, Colorado. As part of the Agriculture industry, the role involves managing key accounting functions, analyzing gross margin and inventory reports, and collaborating with various personnel to ensure accurate reporting. Responsibilities: • Analyze daily gross margin and inventory reports for a particular region of the company • Collaborate with Branch Managers and personnel to guarantee the accuracy of margins and inventory transactions • Aid Regional Finance Managers and Analysts in investigating questionable inventory transactions, margins, or inventory levels • Carry out monthly SOX reports to uphold proper internal controls over inventory transactions • Conduct validity checks before posting inventory adjustments submitted by branches • Support Division personnel with consignment inventory contracts and required annual physical counts of inventory at each branch • Handle accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliation, and transactional review • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by Inventory Supervisors or Operations Accounting Management • Occasionally travel for attendance at Regional/Divisional Meetings, visits to branches, and inventory counts/recounts • Utilize skills such as reporting, Microsoft Excel, operations, planning, review, finance, reconciliations, check processing, and account reconciliation. Requirements • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and operations • Experience in planning, reviewing, and executing financial plans and strategies • Familiarity with 'About Time' software for efficient time tracking • Strong understanding of finance principles and accounting standards • Experience in hiring processes and integrating new team members • Ability to perform reconciliations and check processing efficiently • Expertise in account reconciliation and financial reporting • Proficient in preparing and reviewing journal entries • Willingness to travel for work-related visits and meetings • Excellent attendance record and commitment to punctuality • Strong research and analysis skills for financial data and reports • Familiarity with SAP R/3 for efficient and effective business process handling • Ability to make necessary financial adjustments and maintain internal control • Experience in variance analysis to identify and explain financial performance discrepancies • Ability to lead special projects as per the organization's requirements • Strong computer skills for efficient work management • Proficiency in 'Go' programming language would be a plus • Willingness to conduct and participate in work-related visits • Experience in handling disability claims, if any, in the organization.
