Accountant II
**Job Description** Support the financial reporting efforts of manufacturing accounting by assisting with respect to month-end close tasks, preparation and review of financial statements, financial data analysis and reporting, account reconciliation, and trouble-shooting accounting-related issues. Assist in ensuring the adherence to standard accounting practices. **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** + Perform month-end close procedures including posting journal entries and account reconciliations + Provide guidance and support in the month-end close process for accounting personnel at respective plants and assigned business units + Establish and nurture relationships with intra-office and plant personnel + Review and analyze plant month-end income statement and balance sheet and investigate unusual or unexpected trends and implement corrective action + Participate and assist with the budgeting process and various supporting analysis + Participate in the processing of Accounts Payable invoicing through automated workflow for assigned business units + Assist in various regulatory reporting requirements associated with assigned business units + Fulfill inquires and engage in ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support departments within and external to the division + Assist with ad-hoc projects, data analysis requests, and management reporting on multiple levels of management + Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within areas of responsibility + The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required. **Requirements** **Minimum Requirements:** **_Education and Experience_** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3 plus years progressive accounting experience + 5+ years of accounting experience preferred + Manufacturing experience preferred + Experience with ERP applications preferred, such as SAP + Certification and/or License – CPA and/or MBA preferred **_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities_** + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel + Advanced organizational and time management skills, including ability to multitask and set priorities for multiple divisions + Collaborate effectively and foster strong teamwork skills + Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills + Ability and willingness to work with a sense of urgency and within deadlines + Maintain confidentiality of information + Demonstrate solid business judgment and decision-making skills + Strong knowledge of US GAAP An Equal Opportunity Employer
