Job Description

Provide professional accounting services ensuring quality, integrity, accuracy, and timely processing of all DBSSSA Operational finance transactions, including working, project, and capital expenditures. Seek opportunities to improve accounting processes. Collaborate with the Midstream Finance and DBCM Finance teams to support business planning and performance reporting.

The role will primarily focus on the following key priorities:

Key Tasks

Ensure quality and accuracy of finance transactionsImprove accounting transaction processesSupport business planning and performance reportingAnalyze data, diagnose problems, and provide solutionsFinancial Reporting and Control:Manage period end close schedule, includingGL processing and reconciliationsControl GL master dataSupport External Audit processPlanning and Analysis:Contribute to long-term business planningCoordinate budgets and forecastsPrepare management reports and provide insightful analysisSupport costing of projects, products, and servicesGovernance, Risk and Compliance:Maintain relationships with stakeholders and auditorsReview business processes and ensure compliance with regulationsMaintain contract, compliance, and policy registersEnsure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and accounting standards

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field (desirable) Professional accounting certification, ACCA/ACA, CIMA (or equivalent)

Experience and Knowledge:

Demonstrable experience of financial and management reporting and data analysis at middle management level10 + years of solid management accounting experience, preferably with audit experience and trainingPrevious experience of being responsible for all aspects of Finance administrationTechnical accounting knowledge and experience of statutory reporting requirementsUnderstanding of effective financial systems principlesGood working knowledge of taxation and transfer pricingExperience working with cross-functional teamsGood understanding of project management tools and their applicationSAP and HFM experience desirableKnowledge of governance and compliance processes and their impact on the businessAbility to use a range of data and information sources to perform analysis and produce management reports
