Accountant Job Description
General Job Description
· Maintain balance sheet and profit and loss accounts for few profit centers
· Reconcile all applicable BS and PL accounts, mainly inventory, AP, AR, prepaid, accruals
· Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly closing tasks
· Review expense reports
· Prepare journal entries
· Prepare bank reconciliations
· Support internal controls tasks
· Support quarterly and yearly closing tasks, including audits
· Support forecast and budgeting tasks
· Prepare reports for management
Requirements
· 2-4 years G/L experience
· Accounting or Business Degree
· Understanding of month-end/quarter-end, year-end closing process
· Intermediate Excel Skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
· SAP or comparable ERP experience
· Understanding of internal controls preferred
· Good Interpersonal Skills
· Detailed oriented
· Able to meet deadlines
· Communicates effectively
