Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 Responsibilities General Ledger accounting – Journal entries, account reconciliations, and job cost entries. Preparation and entry of monthly accruals, including payroll and revenue. Participate in preparation of monthly reporting packages. POC (percentage of completion) accounting for multiple projects – Develop project budgets in coordination with estimators and operations, maintain project contract files, set up jobs and budgets within Timberline. Monitor projects (budget vs. actual / work with operations) Forecasting – Develop project estimates to complete in coordination with operations, participate in preparation of monthly forecasts including backlog/pipeline analysis. Analyze project P&Ls variances and identify areas requiring additional analyses or improvement. Monitor costs charged to projects to ensure accuracy and make correcting journal entries as necessary. Participate in the development and documentation of accounting controls/processes. Qualifications Education and/ or Work Experience: 3 to 5 years “hands on” accounting experience in construction or project management environment Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting principles as such relates to job cost accounting. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting CPA designation a plus Previous Timberline accounting and project management system experience a plus Skills & Abilities: Strong organizational and document management skills Ability to multitask and maintain effectiveness with multiple priorities Professional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled under pressure Detailed oriented and high attention to accuracy Solid mathematical skills Comfortable with working in a non-traditional office environment Demonstrated written and verbal skills Strong Excel skills with a working knowledge of pivot tables/formulas and presenting financial information clearly and professionally. Audit and SOX experience a plus
