Description We are currently searching for a proficient Accountant (Tax) to join our team in the education industry, located in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves handling tax and audit duties within the university setting, as well as reporting tasks. Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, with a focus on Forms 990 and 990-T • Handle inquiries related to tax matters efficiently • Contribute to the preparation and submission of university tax returns • Prepare work papers for annual financial audits • Coordinate with external auditors for annual benefits audit • Prepare compliance documents on an annual basis • Summarize debt disclosure requirements • Handle Moody's annual disclosure • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for international joint ventures • Use accounting software systems and ERP for efficient task completion • Manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Conduct auditing and balance sheet account tasks • Utilize Concur and other relevant tools for task completion • Handle Federal Income Tax and State tax matters • Use Excel skills, including v-look ups, pivot tables, and formulas, for various tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant accounting role • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with Concur system is a plus • Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Familiarity with various accounting functions • Knowledge in managing Accounts Payable (AP) • Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proven experience in auditing • Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account • Proficient in preparing Tax - Form 990 • Knowledge in Federal Income Tax • Familiarity with State tax laws and regulations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
