Accounting Analyst
SVP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accounting Analyst to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional eager to develop their skills and contribute to a dynamic and collaborative accounting environment. The Staff Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the team with accurate reporting, reconciliations, and financial analyses that directly impact SVP’s strategic goals. Responsibilities: Support the accounting team in tracking and managing fixed assets, including acquisitions, transfers, and disposals. Prepare and analyze financial reports related to fixed assets and capital expenditures. Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by performing account reconciliations and preparing journal entries. Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and company policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, review, and classify construction-in-progress and project-related costs. Assist in monitoring and maintaining internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Support capital spending and forecasting processes by providing timely and accurate data. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in reporting and data tracking. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide documentation as requested by auditors. Stay informed about accounting standards and industry trends to support compliance and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 0-2 years of Accounting and/ or Finance experience experiences (internships or entry-level positions preferred). Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets and perform basic financial analysis. Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Blackline is a plus but not required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and improvement.
