Accounting Analyst

Accounting Analyst will work as part of the Finance team, providing assistance in a broad range of financial areas. This role will give a wide variety of experience in finance including general ledgers, accounts payable, management accounts reporting, statutory accounts, while providing opportunity to work alongside a group of colleagues in a fast-paced multinational environment.


What your responsibilities will be:

 

Accounts Payable & Accruals

Process high volume of Invoices such as but not limited to Inventories, OPEX and CAPEX; provide cover for colleagues as needed. Track and record invoicing to clear down monthly accruals. Liaise with Operations staff on appropriate accrual amounts and follow up on discrepancies. Reconcile supplier statements with AP ledgers and communicate with vendors to resolve any invoicing or payment issues in conjunction with Procurement department. Review vendor balances to ensure payments information is accurate in weekly and monthly basis. Liaise with operations staff on invoice approvals and PO closures. Prepare and post monthly accruals/prepayments schedules. Cover for preparation of EFT payments on online banking as required. Perform Account Payable SOX controls at month end.

Accounts Receivable

Allocate collections receipts to the AR ledger for intercompany and third customers. Revision and maintenance of customer factoring transactions. Review and maintain monthly Intercompany In-House settlement. Creation of Invoices/accruals to third party customers. Perform Account Receivable SOX controls at month end.

Banking

Monitor bank accounts and record daily bank transactions such as but not limited to collections, FX trades, payments, bank fees / interest / commissions. Credit card analysis and posting in General Ledger. Maintain accurate financial records and assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and accounts ledgers.  Allocate Intercompany cashpool/loan transactions in different currencies. Process currency FX trade transactions. Perform monthly bank reconciliations for SOX controls.

Management and statutory accounting

Post general ledger journals. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss statement and analysis. Involvement in the completion of statutory accounts and the year end annual report process. Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding queries. Support the Group Consolidation Finance team and the Group Tax teams (VAT and CT) at year end close. Assure that the activities carried out comply with company polices and SOX controls.

Other Ad-hoc activities

Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as filing, handling correspondence. Completion of statistical surveys (CSO, Enterprise Ireland).  Work closely with the Group Accounting team and support the team with month end close tasks such as preparation of schedules including journal templates, account reconciliations, monitoring intercompany transactions and assisting with general month end review activities. Involvement in ad hoc projects as required. Provide accounting support in the areas where it is required to other members of the organization.
