Accounting Analyst

This role can be based in Colombia or Panama

Position Purpose: We are seeking a Controllership Sr Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial for managing monthly accruals including rebates, cooperative advertising, freight, and other financial activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, with at least three years of relevant experience. Advanced Excel skills and preferably SAP knowledge are essential. The candidate should also possess intermediate English proficiency and the ability to interact effectively across various organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute monthly reserves for rebates, cooperative advertising, freight, and other financial activities.

· Conduct thorough account analysis and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the controllership function.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address ad-hoc financial issues and support business objectives.

· Prepare and review monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

· Assist in the calculation, follow up and analysis of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual rebate and cooperative advertising accruals and payments.

· Support process improvement projects, focusing on automation and internal control enhancements.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, controllership, or related financial roles.

· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

· Preferably experienced with SAP E03.

· Intermediate English proficiency.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
