The Accounting Analyst - Insurance Accounting will fill a key role within the Finance Organization. This position is responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of finance and accounting services, specifically in the areas of Captive Insurance financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with management in the US to review monthly results, analyze loss reserves, and implement program changes. This position may also partner with our other international teams and provide them with accounting guidance and reporting in support of their programs related to insurance and extended service contracts. The candidate will be involved in month end close processes to prepare monthly client reporting, journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.Prepare Monthly Client Reporting and Analytical Schedules including underwriter reportingPrepare and interpret reinsurance financial results for multiple domestic and international clientsReview claims forecast and loss development patterns to ensure adequate reserves are maintainedMaintain Operational Results Templates and prepare journal entries for Domestic and International CaptivesPrepare and Review General Ledger reconciliationsEnhance the documentation of key internal controls and procedures.Prepare monthly GAAP and Statutory reporting for both Domestic and International CaptivesIdentify best practices and create ideas for process improvements.Assist external and internal auditors with providing schedules required for various audits of financials and reportingSupport Program Management/Client Services with Ad-hoc projects and inquiriesEnhance process efficiency and accuracy through automation
