**Position Summary:**
We are seeking an Accounting and Murex Consultant to join a leading international financial institution headquartered in Washington, DC. This position supports a high-impact technology transformation project, focused on migrating treasury accounting workflows from Summit to Murex. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply accounting expertise within a dynamic capital markets technology environment.
_This position requires working on-site in Washington, DC, 5 days a week. _
**Essential Duties:**
· Support Summit to Murex transition for accounting workflows and treasury operations.
· Configure and validate Murex accounting modules for treasury product accuracy.
· Conduct end-to-end testing for trade lifecycle and accounting events.
· Assist in developing test cases for financial instrument processing.
· Document processes, test results, and training materials for project delivery.
· Provide SME-level input on financial reporting and GL reconciliation.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
**Qualifications:**
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
· Professional qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) required.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, treasury, or back-office roles.
· Experience with bonds, derivatives, and fixed income products.
**Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:**
· Strong understanding of treasury accounting and general ledger practices.
· Hands-on Murex experience highly preferred.
· Proficient in trade lifecycle accounting, amortizations, and settlements.
· Familiarity with Summit or similar trading platforms.
· Excellent documentation and testing skills.
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
**Travel Requirements:** No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

**Salary Range:** SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $70 – 75.
