Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for the preparation and disbursement of monthly and semi-monthly payroll in a multi-state environment. The role also involves assisting in month-end and year-end close and other financial accounting tasks.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and disburse monthly and semi-monthly payroll in a multi-state environment.Review and approve timesheets.Compile payroll data and ensure accuracy for payroll runs.Submit payroll tax payments and handle payroll tax-related issues.Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.Perform reconciliation of payroll accounts and general ledger.Conduct compensation analysis and manage insurance benefits, tax applications, and audits.Perform data entry, analysis, and prepare financial statements.Essential SkillsExperience with payroll processing, payroll tax, and benefits administration.Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Paylocity, or other third-party payroll services.Strong skills in Excel, general ledger, month-end processes, reconciliation, and journal entries.Experience with Deltek is highly preferred.3-5 years of experience in accounting or business, preferably in a multi-state operational environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or business.Experience in the A/E/C industry or other project-based work.Work Environment

This position operates in a professional open office environment with low to moderate noise levels, including collaborative work areas for team meetings. The office provides shared resources such as video conferencing, printing/scanning, and a café for dining. The role involves working with payroll for 200 employees, including 35 hourly employees paid semi-monthly and 165 salaried employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.77 - $40.86
