The Role
• Monthly/annual accounting and taxes closing for local and reporting purposes for Mexico and Colombia. Actively manage, monitor, and implement processes related to the IFRS for consolidation and local purposes.
• Taxes and transfer pricing.
• Ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.) for Mexico and Colombia.
• Reporting for consolidation purposes for Mexico and Colombia
• Financial Statements for local Gaap.
• Control and improve processes related to accounting closing and internal/external auditing.
• Management of accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll and cash flow
• Liaison with the outsourcing companies that support the closing for local ledger.
• Management of local teams, outsourcing and staff based in Mexico and Colombia.
• Identifying improvements in processes and implementing new routines and processes in order to achieve efficiency in activities.
What you'll bring
• Bachelor’s in accounting or business administration. MBA related is a plus.
• Accounting experience in medium or large companies - at least 12-year experience. Experience with Colombia is a plus.
• Previous experience in Accounts payable and payroll is a plus.
• Fluent English.
• Advanced MS Office (mainly Excel and Power Point)
• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Hands-on knowledge of the ERP system (Oracle)
• Ability to effectively interface and communicate with multiple varied internal/external groups/organizations.
• Sense of Urgency; ability to get things done quickly and ability to multi-task
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures
