Accounting and Treasury Manager

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate accounting / finance professional to take on the role of “Head of Finance & Accounting” within the Netherlands organization. You will join our Finance team in Delft, reporting to the country CFO.

As Head of Finance and Accounting, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial foundation necessary to support our organization’s growth and success in the global energy transition.

Leading a team of 4 dedicated colleagues, you will ensure robust financial processes, reporting, and controls are in place, supporting the organization to scale efficiently and sustainably while maintaining our high standards of financial integrity. What will you do?

Lead the accounting, treasury, and internal control functions, managing and mentoring a team of four.Oversee and optimize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes.Prepare the company’s statutory and consolidated annual accounts in compliance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting.Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and support financing initiatives for company and project needs.Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, ensuring sufficient credit lines, bank guarantees, and liquidity to support day-to-day operational requirements.Collaborate seamlessly with the group’s accounting shared service centers to ensure consistent accounting treatments and the efficient execution of processes.Coordinate interim and year-end audits, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.Drive continuous improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and reliability.Build and maintain a robust administrative organization with strong internal controls across all departmental processes.Coach and support your team in resolving accounting challenges while fostering a culture of learning and development.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a dynamic individual with the following qualifications and skills:

A higher education degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 5 years working experience in FP&A within a middle/large sized companyStrong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS accounting standardsKnowledge of transfer pricing, intercompany transactions and relevant tax regulations.Knowledge of SAP and Oracle (HFM) would be an advantageA keen interest in financial topics within a manufacturing setting.Strong numerical skills, with the ability to collect, structure, and analyze data effectively.A proactive attitude towards learning and participating in change management initiatives.The ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail.A logical and structured mindset, capable of clear and transparent communication.A collaborative team player who values and promotes team spirit.
