Kimley-Horn is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our growing regional Project Accounting team in our Phoenix, Arizona (AZ) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate would be able to work in a fast-paced collaborative team setting and communicate effectively to achieve group goals. This individual would work closely with accounting team members to support full project lifecycle business functions. 

Support Project Accountants with business-related tasks for both internal and external client requestsPrepare and send monthly invoices that may require expense backup, timesheet detail, pay applications, or other client-specific invoicing requirementsPartner with Project Accountants to monitor and follow-up on unpaid invoices to collect accounts receivable balancesWork closely with accounting team members to support full project lifecycle business functionsMonitor and collect accounts receivable by working directly with clientsEvaluate incoming payments to ensure proper cash applicationProcess accounts payable, overhead invoices, check requests, and respond to vendor inquiriesCash receipt backupData entry directly into internal and external accounting systemsReview client contracts to ensure accurate project setupElectronic contract and document managementAssist with other general accounting support functions as required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent1+ years of relevant accounting experience or courseworkProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteHigh degree of professionalism and strong people skillsExcellent team playerAbility to multi-task and work effectively in a deadline driven environmentEffective oral and written communication skillsDeltek CostPoint proficiency is a plus  Why Kimley-Horn?
