Accounting Assistant
Job Summary: The Accounting Assistant will assist the Chair of the Department of Geriatrics in tracking grant awards and contracts and processing related financial requests, approvals, and agreements. Duties include but are not limited to: track grant and contract distributions monthly against approved budgets and/or budget modifications, create, submit, and monitor processing of independent contractor agreements, create, submit, and monitor purchase requests for approved contractor and supply invoices, submit and monitor payment of Department invoices for services provided to other institutions, maintain up-to-date accounts of time covered by grants and contracts for department staff, support hiring and onboarding process, perform general administrative tasks as requested. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experiance. Preferred Qualifications: One year experiance or more monitoring budgets and adherence to financial policies. Experience in tracking multiple, complex grant and contract distributions.
