Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in Miami, Florida for an Accounting Assistant. The individual will be an integral part of our team, primarily focusing on managing contracts, ensuring shipment documents are complete, and providing excellent internal customer service. This role is based in a corporate environment and involves liaising with South America and the Islands. Responsibilities: • Overseeing contracts and ensuring their proper management • Ensuring the completeness of shipment documents for seamless operations • Providing outstanding internal customer service to foster positive relationships • Coordinating with vessels for efficient workflow • Invoicing and reconciling accounts in collaboration with the accounting team • Applying a strong attention to detail in all tasks • Utilizing Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to execute tasks efficiently • Assisting with accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Carrying out auditing tasks and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must. • Proficiency in using CaseWare is necessary. • Familiarity with Concur is expected. • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial. • Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively is required. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is expected. • Proficiency in Auditing is crucial. • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations effectively is necessary.
