Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in the not for profit sector, based in Concord, California. The role involves meticulous work with accounting software systems, auditing, and data entry, amongst other duties. Responsibilities: • Accurate data entry into accounting software and Excel • Conduct audits of accounting data in the system and verify against documents • Assist with updates in procurement systems and processing of payables • Manage electronic and manual filing systems • Monitor and maintain customer credit records • Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues • Keep track of customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must-have for the role. • Prior experience in Auditing is required to ensure compliance with government standards. • Ability to perform Data Entry - Numeric tasks accurately and in a timely manner is essential. • Mastery of Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and data analysis tools, is necessary for this role. • Experience in preparing and managing Accounting Entries is a crucial requirement for this position.
