Description We are in search of an Accounting Assistant to join our team located in North Reading, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for handling accounting functions and processing in-house payroll. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle core accounting functions efficiently • Process in-house payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments • Oversee and manage accounts receivable (AR) • Apply cash applications to appropriate accounts • Process transactions through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) • Monitor and manage customer credit records accurately • Resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner • Take appropriate action on customer accounts when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is a must for the Accounting Assistant role. • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is a requirement. • Familiarity with Cash Applications is essential. • Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations is expected. • Demonstrated ability in handling In-House Payroll is desirable.
