Stew Hansen Dodge City, a Ken Garff Automotive company, is currently looking for a talented Accounting Assistant to support our cancellations and vehicle deal processing. This position will office in the Centralized Accounting Office in Clive, IA. Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm. Here's what you'll be doing: + Prepare accounting entries and reconcile general ledger + Ensure timely processing of any check payments and/or ACH transactions + Research and process cancellations & chargebacks + Reconcile & audit all product cancellation schedules & processes + Post vehicle deals with related financial products, clear related financial schedules, and communicate with staff as needed + Process financial product invoices and reconcile associated financial schedules + Process other vehicle related invoices from manufacturer and parent company + Maintain an organized processing system + Occasional filing and other general administrative duties as needed Here’s what you’ll need: + Minimum 1 to 2 years of accounting experience + High school diploma or the equivalent, with Associates Degree in Accounting preferred + Dealership accounting experience preferred + Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products, particularly Excel, and the general use of a computer and calculator + Knowledge of accounting software and dealership software a plus + Strong numeracy, analytical, time management, verbal, and technology skills + Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and information Here’s why you’ll want to work here: + Great culture and real career growth + Competitive compensation package + Attractive schedule (Monday-Friday) + Maternity and Parental program + Paid Time Off and 401k with Company match + Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long-term disability, AD&D and Life Insurance + Year-end bonus program for all employees (Garff Giveback) + Employee discounts on Vehicle Purchase, Parts, Service and More!
