Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant located in Baltimore, Maryland. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be tasked with handling transactional accounting, maintaining accurate financial records, and resolving financial inquiries. You will also be charged with monitoring and managing customer accounts. Responsibilities: • Oversee the daily payment processing activities • Handle payment reversals when necessary • Perform bank reconciliation activities • Manage allocations and numerical accounting tasks • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications • Maintain precise customer credit records • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook for various tasks • Prepare and process journal entries • Perform data entry tasks • Process refunds and vouchers when necessary • Prepare journal entries as needed • Maintain accounts payable • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations. Requirements • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook • Experience with journal entries, including preparation and processing • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency • Experience processing refunds • Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) processes • Proven ability to handle payment processing tasks • Experience performing bank reconciliations • Prior involvement in monthly bank reconciliation tasks • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
