General ledger accountant

The role is based in our Budapest GSS (hybrid model combining office & remote work). You’ll join a team of agile, customer-focused thinkers who collaboratively solve difficult business problems.


Main responsibilities:

Accrue FI invoicesProcess Standard and Recurring Journal EntryInternal Order SettlementClose and Cut-Off Transaction ProcessingOpen and Close Sub-Ledgers AP / AR / GLProcess Local Tax ProvisionsProcess AllocationsProcess Currency RevaluationsReview Cost Centre ExpensesReview Regional Preliminary PLClose Financial LedgerPrepare Submission ChecklistTransfer and Reconcile GL for ConsolidationTo lead by example following all requirements, processes, structure while maintaining a can-do mentality Support the day-to-day operations of the Team while maintaining operational tasksSupport in meeting Key Performance Indicators, such as accuracy and timeliness related metricsProactively escalating to your supervisor and/or the Operation leader on business and performance issuesPlaying a key role in supporting the supervisor with training and guidance of new joinersOther duties as ordered by the direct managerJob RequirementsExcellent English, both verbal and written.Minimal 2 years of relevant experienceMust have working knowledge of general accounting procedures and process including GAAP Great communication skills A good understanding of general accounting processesUniversity degreeIntermediate Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on ExcelERP system (SAP ECC) experience advantageousAbility to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and providing top notch customer service Great customer service is essentialTeam players with a can-do-mentalityCritical thinking is a must Benefits
