• Under general supervision compiles complex financial information from various electronic and hard copy sources. Independently performs analysis and posts information to the General Ledger (GL) on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Analyzes and reports on accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Provides complex analytical accounting support including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget. Researches any discrepancies and provides explanation for any variance.
• Performs weekly and monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of all financial information.
• Compiles, posts, and ensures accuracy of monthly journal entries of complex company accounts to maintain compliance with company and federal regulations.
• Collects year-end closing financial information, post all journal entries, and ensure accuracy of data for filing and audit purposes.
• Performs technical accounting research and work with business unit leaders to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Compiles information required for internal and external audits to ensure policies and procedures are in compliance with accounting regulations and requirements.
• Prepares and distributes various financial reports and exhibits for Corporate Executives, Management, and Non-Management, including but not limited to expense analysis, expense detail, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, production/commission reports, and site profitability.
• Handles creation of BIR 2307 certificate.
• Performs invoice entries through the system.
• Reviews and do reconciliation of vendors’ Statement of Accounts.
• Process payments to vendors and employees.
• Research and addresses P&L questions from Executives and Management. Provide explanations for any variance occurring through analyzing and researching reasons and causes for fluctuations.
• Identifies issues and make recommendations for resolution to higher level accounting staff or management.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent relevant work related experience required.
Experience:
• One year of Accounting, Reporting, and Analysis/related work experience or equivalent combination of related training and experience required. Two years preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics:
• Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficient personal computer skills including Microsoft Office. Knowledgeable / has experience in Oracle or SAP is a plus.
• Proficient financial analytical skills and ability to research variances.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
