Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Associate in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is based 100% onsite and is crucial to our operations within the public sector. The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, invoice coding, and check runs. *** Local City Government and strong A/R background experience required*** Responsibilities • Efficiently process between 400-500 invoices in full cycle • Handle vendor maintenance and setup in the Government issue ERP system • Conduct account reconciliation to maintain accurate records • Code invoices as part of the accounts payable process • Carry out check runs as a part of the accounts payable function • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate customer credit records • Use Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks • Research and resolve instances of duplicate payments. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting Associate role or a similar position • Proficient in account reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate • Skilled in handling accounts payable (AP), efficiently managing company's financial obligations • Capability to execute check runs, ensuring all checks are issued and sent on time • Experience in coding invoices, accurately categorizing them for financial recording • Strong data entry skills, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data • Proficient in invoice processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, managing and analyzing financial data effectively Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
