This position is full-time, 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00. The hybrid work schedule is subject to the agency's discretion and may vary based on the training schedule. In this role, you will: + Build and manage Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, using advanced features to streamline data handling and analysis. + Create clear, detailed reports and document interviews to ensure accuracy and transparency. + Communicate effectively with diverse groups, both internally and externally, addressing inquiries with professionalism. + Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, keeping projects on track and delivering results. + Get hands-on experience in auditing and compliance, developing expertise in these essential areas. + Understand and apply regulations related to audit compliance, ensuring everything meets the required standards. We’re looking for candidates with a background in accounting or finance who have strong Excel skills, effective communication abilities, and experience writing reports. You should also excel at managing priorities, have auditing and compliance experience, and understand how to apply relevant rules and regulations. Salary Note Minimum Requirements Hiring Rate Completion of 1 Year of Training Bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in accounting and/or qualifying experience $58,311 $62,233 Bachelor's degree with at least 30 semester hours in accounting $62,233 $66,170 Master's degree in a related field with at least 15 semester hours in accounting $62,233 $66,170 Master's degree in a related field with at least 30 semester hours in accounting $64,208 $66,170 The salary for an employee who completes any of the above minimum requirements after initial appointment to the Accounting Careers Trainee job class will be adjusted commensurate with the schedule above and effective the pay period following the date the degree has been conferred or the pay period following the date the appropriate number of credits as indicated above have been earned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. + Experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development including managing data, using formulas, exporting of data and other advanced functions. + Experience writing reports and documenting interviews. + Experience communicating internally and externally with a diverse population both verbally and in written inquiries. + Experience with prioritizing multiple assignments with competing deadlines. + Experience with auditing and compliance. + Experience interpreting and applying statutes and regulations pertaining to audit compliance.
