Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the non-profit sector, offering an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or experienced professionals eager to expand their accounting expertise. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to supporting financial processes. Responsibilities: • Process purchase orders and ensure accuracy in all transactions. • Manage cash advances, including closing out and certifying advancements. • Support procurement-related tasks with a solid understanding of relevant procedures. • Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions efficiently. • Process invoices and ensure timely billing activities. • Enter data accurately into accounting systems, maintaining integrity in all records. • Utilize accounting software such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP for various financial tasks. • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and provide support during transitions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; recent graduates with sharp skills are welcome. • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles. • Proficiency in financial software, including Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting processes and systems. • Familiarity with procurement procedures is a plus.
