Accounting Clerk
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is within the finance industry and the selected candidate will be based at our local workplace. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of duties, including managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with financial reporting, and providing administrative support. Responsibilities • Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. • Conduct reconciliation tasks for invoices, accounts, and bank statements. • Assist with financial reporting tasks during month-end and year-end periods. • Enter financial data into our accounting software to maintain accurate record-keeping. • Preparation of financial documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and reports. • Perform light business-to-business collections, contacting clients via phone and email to follow up on overdue payments. • Keep detailed records of collection activities and payment status. • Assist in resolving customer account discrepancies by working closely with the sales and finance teams. • Provide general administrative support, which includes answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and organizing documents. • Assist with scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars for executives or team members, as well as supporting other departments with various administrative tasks as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Billing and Invoice Processing • Proficiency in Data Entry • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with QuickBooks • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively • Strong problem-solving skills • Knowledge of general accounting principles • Familiarity with financial software and databases • Basic understanding of confidentiality obligations and accounting best practices.
