We are looking for an accounting clerk to temporarily assist our team.
ResponsibilitiesMatch, batch, code, and enter invoices.Research, coordinate, and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors under the direction of the A/P Coordinator.Perform weekly or as needed check runs.Review aging reports to identify invoices due in 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days.Perform month-end duties.Participate in the preparation of annual financial and other audits.Assist accountants with journal entry preparation and documentation.Serve as backup for other accounting functions.Promote the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Organization.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsKnowledge of general accounting practices, including journal entry preparation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Knowledge of computer accounting software.Ability to perform filing and operate standard office equipment.Typing speed of 25+ words per minute.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school graduate or possession of a GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred.1 year of experience in an Accounting or Finance setting preferred.Valid California Driver's license, proof of insurance, and personal transportation.One year of Federally Qualified Health Center or similar experience preferred.Experience with computerized accounting and medical or dental billing systems preferred.Knowledge of healthcare accounting and finance is preferred.Knowledge of clinic operations is preferred.Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Work EnvironmentYou will be reporting to the Accounts Payable Coordinator. The work environment is a great team environment that works well together. The role requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, standard office equipment, and familiarity with 10-key operations. The dress code is business casual.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.45 - $21.45
