Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounting Clerk in the industry located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, 02871, United States. As an Accounting Clerk, you'll be tasked with numerous responsibilities that require a keen eye for detail, including data entry and managing accounts payable. You'll be working within a team environment, where your skills in accounts payable and vendor management will be put to good use. Responsibilities: • Accurate data entry to maintain customer records • Management of vendor interactions • Efficient processing of customer credit applications • Entering and vouching invoices into specific ERP systems such as SAP • Handling accounts payable duties • Utilizing Excel for various functions such as vlookups and pivot tables • Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action • Participating in a 3 way match process for invoice verification • Collaborating within a team-oriented accounting environment • Maintaining a high standard of attention to detail in all tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation for maintaining accurate financial records. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure timely payments to vendors. • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage incoming payments effectively. • Skilled in Billing to generate invoices and account statements. • Ability to perform Data Entry tasks quickly and accurately. • Experience in Invoice Processing, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. • Familiarity with Oracle financial software for managing company's financial systems. • Experience with QuickBooks for accounting tasks and managing financial data. • Knowledge of SAP software for streamlining accounting processes.
