Description
Robert Half is currently hiring for an Accounting Clerk handling both accounts payable and receivables for our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing company in Blount County. The Accounting Clerk will be an on-site role offering full-time hours and presents an excellent opportunity to be part of a thriving company with future growth prospects on a contract-to-hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Provides accounting support to both the Credit Manager/AR and the Accounts Payable Manager; splitting their time between both departments.
Handle the weekly check run and process weekly invoices.
Assist the Accounts Payable Manager with various functions.
Conduct data entry and set up accounts/vendors.
Manage the cash applications process for ACH payments, wire transfers, cash, checks, and lockbox.
Perform daily reconciliation of cash and make necessary accounts receivable adjustments.
Proactively follow up on past due balances through effective communication.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience with SAP or ERP systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Capability to set up new accounts effectively
• Ability to maintain and manage vendor files
• Experience in account and bank reconciliations
• Competence in entering and processing invoices
• Experience in processing credit card transactions
• Proficiency in numeric data entry
• Ability to perform data entry tasks efficiently
• Experience in check runs and check processing
• Knowledge of SAP software
• Experience in B2B collections
