Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Utica, Indiana, 47130, United States. As an Accounting Clerk, your role will be to efficiently process and manage customer credit applications, keep accurate records, and respond to and resolve customer inquiries. Your responsibilities will also involve monitoring customer accounts and taking the necessary actions. Responsibilities • Manage and process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency • Maintain and update customer credit records accurately • Respond promptly and appropriately to customer inquiries • Regularly monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions • Reconcile accounts on a regular basis • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions effectively. Requirements • Possession of strong account reconciliation skills • Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) • Expertise in handling accounts receivable (AR) • Ability to maintain accurate financial records • Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting procedures • Proficient in data entry and management • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of relevant accounting software will be advantageous.
