Description We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Jeffersonville, Indiana. In this role, you'll be expected to execute a variety of accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as account reconciliation. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity within the finance industry. Responsibilities: • Handle accounts payable tasks, ensuring all invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner • Oversee the accounts receivable function, including invoicing and cash receipt processing • Conduct regular account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records • Resolve any discrepancies found in account reconciliation • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed • Manage customer inquiries related to accounts payable and receivable effectively • Maintain all customer credit records with precision and confidentiality • Process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) • Knowledge and skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers • Proficient in office software and accounting software/database • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
