Description
We are offering a part time employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Bakersfield, California. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be tasked with a variety of financial and administrative duties. This role is primarily focused on maintaining financial records, processing payments, and ensuring efficient office operations.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently handle customer credit applications and process them accurately.
• Maintain precise customer credit records.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action.
• Manage the preparation and submission of payroll records and supporting documentation.
• Oversee the preparation of bank deposits, bill payments, and monthly account balancing.
• Inspect all bills for review and present them to the relevant authority.
• Manage office supplies and maintain an adequate inventory for daily operations.
• Handle clerical responsibilities including research, database coordination, and member inquiries.
• Answer office phone system and respond to direct requests for information.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including courier services and interoffice mail distribution.
• Utilize membership database for records, addresses, and dues collection.
• Conduct research to locate member whereabouts and standing.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Accounting Clerk or a similar role in the finance sector.
• Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), managing outgoing bills and invoices, and incoming payments respectively.
• Demonstrated experience in Billing, preparing invoices and reports.
• Ability to perform efficient Data Entry, maintaining and updating information in a timely manner.
• Experience in Invoice Processing, reviewing, verifying and processing invoices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced functions.
• Experience with Oracle, managing and manipulating financial and corporate data.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online, managing financial tasks including invoicing, bill payment and payroll functions.
• Proficiency in SAP, performing accounting operations, including financial planning and analysis.
• Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
