Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Bakersfield, California. As an Accounting Clerk, you will have the critical role of processing various financial transactions, maintaining precise financial records, and providing support to the accounting department in a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities: • Accurately processing accounts payable and receivable transactions. • Preparing, processing, and reviewing invoices, expense reports, and check requests. • Ensuring all financial records are maintained in an organized and up-to-date manner. • Assisting with month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries. • Updating and maintaining accounting databases and spreadsheets. • Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts. • Assisting in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements. • Providing necessary documentation and information for internal audits. • Supporting the management of the general ledger, including posting entries and adjusting accounts as needed. • Assisting with payroll processing and related tasks. • Collaborating with the accounting team on various projects and initiatives. • Performing receptionist duties and answering inbound calls. • Maintaining office supplies and managing basic office tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in performing receptionist duties such as greeting visitors, managing appointments, and handling correspondence. • Ability to handle inbound calls, addressing customer queries effectively and professionally. • Possession of basic office skills including data entry, filing, and use of office equipment. • Experience in maintaining office supplies, keeping track of inventory and ordering supplies when necessary.
