Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Clerk for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. You will be tasked with processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction • Process and accurately record customer credit applications • Monitor customer accounts constantly and take relevant actions when necessary • Update client files with payment statuses and provide necessary documentation to facilitate payments • Organize, sort, and prepare documents for scanning and system updates • Scan documents into the system and identify any errors, including unscanned items due to machine jams • Review documents for critical elements such as missing signatures and flag any discrepancies • Verify document accuracy, run system reports, and upload data into Excel • Transfer data from Excel into Google Docs/Google Sheets as required • Determine and execute required follow-ups, including adjustment requests or credit requests Requirements • Possession of strong account reconciliation skills • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proficiency in billing processes and procedures • Ability to perform accurate data entry tasks • Experience in invoice processing and management • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting and data management • Familiarity with Google Docs for document creation and sharing Robert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
