Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk will support financial analysis, reporting, and data management at both the corporate and plant levels. This role involves assisting with the preparation of financial reports, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and managing financial transactions. The position also supports budgeting and forecasting, ensures accurate financial data management, and contributes to monthly and year-end closing processes. Proficiency in financial systems, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are required.
Essential Functions

Assist in preparing and analyzing financial reports, including variance analysis, profitability reporting, and performance metrics for plant operations and corporate functions.Perform accurate and timely data entry related to production costs, sales orders, and other financial transactions, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all records.Maintain and update financial data in accounting systems and spreadsheets to support operational efficiency and decision-making.Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, cost control, operational efficiency, and business performance.Support the development of the plant’s annual budget and periodic financial forecasts, including gathering and entering relevant financial data.Ensure accuracy in variance reports and assist in investigating discrepancies in financial data.Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring all data is entered and updated as required.Assist with the preparation of audit schedules for both operational and financial audits and respond to audit-related inquiries.Assist with daily invoicing, sales order tracking, and data entry to ensure proper financial reporting.Create and distribute regular financial reports and dashboards to leadership, ensuring the information is current and relevant.Assist with ad hoc financial analyses to support plant operations and corporate leadership decision-making.Review employee expense reports to ensure proper coding and adherence to company policies.Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
(K) Basic understanding of financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis, with working knowledge of accounting principles. (A) Ability to read, understand and interpret financial statements.(S) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools.(A) Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.(A) Effective verbal and written communication skills.
