Accounting Clerk - AP/AR - 100% Onsite
Description Job Title: Accounting Clerk - AP/AR (Temp-to-Hire) Location: Oklahoma City, OK (100% Onsite) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pay Rate: $19-$23 per hour Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable (AR) + Daily Processing & Reconciliation + Compare imported totals with the Daily Sales Report (DSR). + Identify and correct import discrepancies or errors. + Payments & Deposits + Record all customer checks. + Prepare and post bank deposits to the AR ledger in Peachtree. + Deposit checks at the bank as required. + Daily Sales Reporting (DSR) & Banking Reconciliation + Prepare the Daily Sales Report (DSR) by compiling sales data. + Verify and correct errors before final submission. + Email the finalized DSR to designated recipients. + Ensure store deposits align with reported DSR. + Customer Billing & Credit Card Processing + Send customer account statements monthly. + Process credit card payments and email receipts to customers. + ACH Payments & Customer Account Setup + Process ACH payments. + Set up new customer accounts in Peachtree and POS system. Accounts Payable (AP) + Mail & Invoice Management + Open and distribute incoming financial mail. + Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into Peachtree. + Reconcile vendor statements with payables records. + Check Processing & Payment Scheduling + Weekly Check Runs: Issue vendor checks every Wednesday. + Scheduled Payments: Process recurring and contract labor payments. + Document & File: Copy and file issued checks with corresponding invoices. + ACH & Vendor Management + Post ACH payments twice monthly. + Set up and maintain vendor accounts in Peachtree. + Renew annual business licenses and tax certificates. Sales & Deposit Processing + Transaction Posting + Post store deposits to maintain accurate records. + Monthly Financial Setup + Create new-month deposit worksheets for reconciliation. Requirements Requirements: + Experience with Sage or Peachtree software preferred. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. + Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors.
