Accounting Clerk II - Purchasing Department JobID: 13521 + Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical/ Secretary - 12-Months + Date Posted: 10/21/2024 + Location: ELSC    Accounting Clerk II SECRETARY – PURCHASING DEPARTMENT Location: Educational Leadership & Support Center Overview: PRINCIPAL DUTIES + Provide clerical support for Purchasing & Warehouse Departments. + Support the District’s mailroom operations. + Order and maintain office supplies for the District. + Enter purchase requisitions in accounting software and process invoices. + Vendor management support + Assist with tax-exempt requests + Assemble and maintain the District’s safety data sheet program. + Data entry, filing, reporting and record keeping. + Provide phone support as the first point of contact for the Purchasing Department. + Assemble presentations and specifications for distribution. + Schedule services for the District as needed. + Order supplies online. + Other duties as assigned CLASSIFICATION Secretarial/Clerical Group D Eight (8) hours per day. Two-year degree in related field preferred. Knowledge of general office procedures/computers/machines. Proficient with Excel and word processing software. Required Education Level and Required Skill Sets: Initiative and ability to perform with minimal supervision. Organizational and analytical aptitude. Ability to represent the district in a professional manner, which includes but is not limited to confidentiality, communication skills, dress, and additional training. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and implement ideas contained in technical documents, reports, regulations, etc. Ability to effectively write reports and communications to administrators, colleagues, parents, students and staff. Ability to effectively present information orally and respond to questions from administrators, teachers, staff and students. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Ability to use spreadsheets and reporting documents that assist with the computation of data. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve problems effectively. Ability to interpret and implement a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, colleagues, community members, staff and students. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
