PCSI is looking for an Accounting Tech III at SWRMC- LLTM! Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties as well as assisting other accounting staff performing the following functions and duties as assigned. This position will report to the Procurement Supervisor and is based at SWRMC-LLTM in San Diego.

What You'll Do as Accounting Tech III:
Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties as well as assisting other accounting staff performing the following functions and duties as assigned: Posting to registers and ledgers Balancing and reconciling accounts Verifying internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents Assigning prescribed accounting distribution codes to invoices and related financial documents Examining the clerical accuracy of reports, lists, calculations, postings, etc. Preparing journal vouchers Making entries or adjustments to accounts Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or materials priorities. Answer incoming calls, maintain files, ledgers, and records, certified payroll document, including purchase orders and related records to completed work orders. Assist with payroll documentation to ensure accuracy. Perform related administrative duties and responsibilities as required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college in accounting or business technical curriculum. Minimum four (4) years accounts payable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in business operations preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel as well as advanced mathematical skills. Knowledge and understanding of terminology, codes, and processes used in an automated accounting system. Must possess analytical skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and develop statistical reports. Able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.Other Requirements:
Successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background check, and motor vehicle report. Previous government experience and clearance strongly preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance, including a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) investigation.
