Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage the accounting for PP&E, interact with various Finance teams, and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls. You will also be responsible for analyzing financial results and providing explanations to management, supporting external reporting deliverables, and managing relationships within Finance.
ResponsibilitiesManage the accounting for PP&E, including ensuring proper accounting for fixed assets, capital projects, and software, and ownership of related internal controls.Interact and work cross-functionally with various Finance teams to execute processes for transactions outside typical company processes.Facilitate monthly and quarterly close activities, including variance analysis, executive reporting, and account analysis.Manage key balance sheet analysis review process and communicate results effectively in biannual meetings with management and the business.Prepare, review, and approve financial schedules such as footnote disclosures and close reporting deliverables.Execute financial controls over transactions to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls are executed in accordance with company policies.Interpret transactions executed or proposed by the business to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), perform research, and partner with Technical Accounting to develop guidance.Analyze financial results and provide explanations to management for movements in Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow statements.Draft footnote disclosures and prepare detailed support for external reporting deliverables (10Q/10K).Work with Finance and Operational teams to perform accounting tasks and monitor Month End close activities.Manage relationships within Finance (Financial Planning, Tax, Purchase to Pay, Treasury, Global Strategic Sourcing).Provide support for initiatives or projects by providing accounting guidance and identifying risks to internal controls.Support documentation and testing of controls in support of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Certification and other control verification processes.Support Internal/External/Tax audits by providing backup, explaining transactions, and answering inquiries.Understand and interpret Policies and Procedures to provide guidance to stakeholders on proper application.Collaborate with process stakeholders to implement continuous improvement opportunities for an efficient accounting close process.Engage in deploying Automation and Reporting solutions to reduce transactional work in favor of strategy and analysis.Manage special projects requiring Global Accounting representation, including company expansion, business acquisitions, divestitures, and financial system implementations.Partner closely with External Services vendors to complete close activities and deliver quality services.Engage in regular governance meetings to discuss status of activities, projects, and issue resolution. This role is primarily remote; however, you must be able to report to the office within 24 hours. You will have the opportunity to work with an offshore team in India, gaining experience working with a global team of 5 offshore members. The work differs day to day, providing a dynamic and engaging environment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
