Job Description Hiring for ST Telemedia Global Data Centre Philippines

STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture between Globe, Ayala, and ST Telemedia Global Data Centre (STT GDC).

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres is one of the fastest-growing data centre providers, headquartered in Singapore, with a global platform of data centres in the world’s major business markets of over 170 facilities across Singapore, the UK, India, China, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines.

STT GDC offers a full suite of best-in-class, highly scalable, and flexible data centre solutions, connectivity, and support services that best meet customers’ current and future colocation needs.

Responsible for all aspects of Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax Compliance, Disbursements, Cash Management and Lease Management. Collaborates closely with the business unit leadership and operational finance. Assists with special projects, as needed.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

 Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements that will be reported to the shareholder representatives.

Analyze financial results and identify variances from budget and forecasts.

Communicate with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other government agencies on the submission of financial statements.

Stay up-to-date with the latest accounting standards and regulations, ensuring that financial reports comply with all applicable requirements.

Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting processes to ensure the reliability of financial data and mitigate risks of errors or fraud.

Conduct research on complex accounting issues and provide guidance on proper accounting treatment.

Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.

 Assist with special projects related to accounting, such as automations and system enhancements.

Tax Compliance

Preparation and filing of accurate and timely tax returns ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.

Stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations, conduct research on complex tax issues, and provide guidance to the team on proper tax treatment.

Collaborate with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) during tax audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Communicate with clients, BIR, and other stakeholders regarding tax matters, providing clear and concise explanations of tax positions and resolving any issues that arise.

Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Disbursement

Oversee the entire disbursement cycle, including invoice processing, verification, approval, payment processing, and reconciliation. Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls.

Review and approve requests for payment prior to settlement. Verify the accuracy of supporting documentation, such as invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.

Maintain relationships with vendors, address payment inquiries, and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments to maintain positive relationships.

Cash Management

Oversee the company's daily cash flow, including cash receipts, disbursements, and bank reconciliations. Forecast cash flow needs and ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational requirements.

Collaborate with the Treasury Team on the management of short-term investments to maximize returns while maintaining liquidity and minimizing risk.

Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts to anticipate future cash needs and identify potential shortfalls or surpluses. Monitor and analyze variances between actual and forecasted cash flows.

Lease Management

Oversee the entire lease lifecycle, including new lease abstraction, data entry, rent payment processing, lease renewal/termination, and lease accounting. Ensure compliance with lease terms and conditions.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of lease transactions in accordance with the accounting standards on leases.

Maintain strong internal controls over lease management processes to ensure data accuracy, prevent errors, and mitigate risks. 

Qualification:

Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in any related field of study
