Accounting/Finance Specialist
Adecco is searching for an **Accounting/Finance Specialist** role in the **Flint, MI** area. The applicant will need an accounting degree (or degree in related field). This associate will assist with accounting functions, payroll processes, journal entries, account recs, spreadsheets, and more. This role will last 6-9 months but does have the option to go beyond that. The hours are standard working hours. If you meet the requirements, please APPLY NOW! **Job Summary** The candidate will work as a Financial Specialist, focusing on supporting payroll processing and general accounting tasks such as preparing journal entries and maintaining accrual spreadsheets. They will utilize their knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in tools like Excel and SAP to ensure accurate financial reporting. **Skill Requirements** _Must-Have Requirements:_ + Strong **analytical** and **problem-solving** skills + Knowledge of general **accounting principles** + Experience in month-end processes including preparing **journal entries** and balance sheet reconciliations + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office ( **Excel, Outlook** ) + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines _Preferred Requirements:_ + Experience with systems like **SAP** , **Coupa** , or **PeopleSoft** **Skill Education** + **Analytical:** The ability to assess complex data or situations logically. + **Problem-solving:** Skills used to identify solutions to challenges. + **General Accounting Principles:** Fundamental concepts that guide financial reporting practices. + **Balance Sheet:** A financial statement that shows a company's assets, liabilities, and equity at a specific point in time. + **Income Statement:** A report showing the company's revenue and expenses over a period. + **Month-end Processes:** Activities performed at the end of each month to close out accounting records for accurate reporting. + **Journal Entries:** Records of financial transactions in an accounting system. + **_Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook):_** Software tools used for data management and communication. + **_SAP:_** An enterprise resource planning software used for managing business operations. + **_Coupa:_** A cloud-based platform for business spend management. + **_PeopleSoft:_** An integrated software package providing human resources management systems (HRMS). **Pay Details:** $25.00 to $28.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
