Accounting & Financial Reporting Principal SpecialistSummary of the Role
This new role supports the Corporate Purchasing Office (CPO) by defining and implementing a cohesive reporting strategy for the areas of Purchasing, Travel, and Real Estate. The position involves driving business case delivery and monitoring cost activities, aiming to standardize and synergize these areas.
Main Responsibilities
Define & Execute Transversal Reporting Strategy:
Develop and implement an annual reporting strategy and deliverables for CPO.
Standardize and homogenize reporting deliverables for all CPO areas to Amadeus management and key stakeholders.
Identify and implement best reporting practices across CPO areas.
Align CPO reporting strategy with Finance Transformation Office initiatives.
CPO Business Case Management:
Conduct financial modeling and assessment of new projects within the CPO perimeter.
Evaluate purchasing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and RFP financial targets.
Assess the financial impact of real estate projects linked to technology evolution and business cases.
Manage financial models for Travel Management Companies (TMC) and travel vendors, including savings analysis and structure optimization.
Understand value propositions, benefits, and cost drivers of CPO projects impacting Amadeus Business Units.
Report findings to CPO and Decision Rights Management (DRM) to facilitate go/no-go decisions.
CPO's Cost Evolution Monitoring:
Support annual budget management and cost center monitoring for all CPO areas.
Monitor and control costs associated with any CPO transversal project.
Build a 3-year Long-Term Plan (LTP) for CPO, including business plans and budget impacts.
Track finance indicators and People & Culture (P&C) impacts.
Lead and/or Collaborate on Transversal and Ad-Hoc CPO Projects:
Support CPO Transversal head with annual planning, project initiation, and implementation.
Manage projects and identify new collaboration opportunities to add value to CPO areas.
About the Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics, or equivalent experience.
Experience in Corporate Finance/Controlling departments, preferably in large corporations or multinationals.
Experience in database analytics and project management.
Experience with Power BI, Access, Microsoft 365 (especially Excel), and database management; knowledge of S4HANA is beneficial.
Proficiency in written and oral English; other languages are beneficial.
Extensive change and project management background, with analytical and presentation skills.
Ability to effectively communicate analysis results to management at all levels.
Proactive, collaborative, and able to handle multiple tasks within deadlines.
