Location Description Welcome to the Cambria Hotel Nashville Midtown, a dynamic property within the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio. Located in the vibrant heart of Music City, this boutique hotel features 159 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and over 3,000 sq. ft. of versatile meeting & event space, ideal for hosting board meetings, intimate gatherings and events. Overview The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of Cambria Midtown Nashville. This position will be responsible for various accounting functions in addition to assisting with Human Resource functions. This position will report to the General Manager. Every day is different, but you'll mostly: • Summarize Revenue and Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. • Close month-end and year-end. • Prepare financial reports, including but not limited to the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and financial analysis. • Review the posting of payroll and related taxes. • Prepare or review the filing and payment of all taxes, as needed. • Monitor cash flows and enforcing budgetary controls. • Follow up on past due AR accounts. • Review vendor invoices and related account coding. • Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. • Oversee personnel and perform office administration in the finance department, as needed. • Maintain organized accounting filing systems, providing quick and easy access to information • Complete payroll. • Assist in the pre-screening of hourly positions. • Facilitate and assure compliance of internal training. • Maintain personnel files. • Assist with employee engagement and celebrations. • Assist other departments when necessary. Qualifications What we need from you: • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Business or Accounting from four-year college or university, or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Three to five years of accounting experience in the Hospitality Industry. • Knowledge of pertinent federal, state and county tax laws and filings. • The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required to analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and parentages. • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer programs. Superior Excel skills required. • Experience using different accounting software a plus. • Opera and Profit Sage experience, a plus but not required. • Should be able to demonstrate flexibility and be able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations. • Schedule will maintain of mostly Monday through Friday, but must be available to work weekends, if needed. • Have a professional, friendly, and enthusiastic demeanor. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $50,000.00/Yr. - $60,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
