Accounting Intern

 

Position Description: Axis Automation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis for 10-15 weeks. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and apply academic knowledge in a professional setting by assisting with the month-end close process at a leading Automation Integrator specializing in the design, construction, and installation of custom robotic factory equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support the reconciliation of bank and credit card statements. Prepare documentation and support for standard month-end journal entries. Conduct research to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly and efficiently.

 

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data entry. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in spreadsheet creation and data analysis.
