Accounting Intern Job ID 206996 Posted 20-Feb-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Part-time Areas of Interest Internship/Industry placement Location(s) Dallas - Texas - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Accounting Intern, you will work with a team of peers helping with data entry while learning and applying basic accounting fundamentals. The internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a great foundation upon which to build your career. **What You’ll Do:** + Organize lockbox receipts, terminations, and security deposits. + Record basic cash receipts and enter transactions including billing, collecting payments, and sending statements. + Schedule recurring billings and statements. + Assist with the recording of payments, bank reconciliations, and other financial reports. Track deposits and credits. + Observe the team recording accounts payable information like invoices, issuing vendor refunds, and mailing vendor checks. + Complete data entry to assist with a variety of accounts receivable transactions. + Work with team to review invoices, void and cut manual checks and audit accounts payable trail. + Gather paperwork at the end of the month, such as copying, organizing, and binding reports. + Create and maintain financial files for reporting team. + Keep track of files making sure they are accurate. + Follow a set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities. + Impact through methods, tasks, and duties which are clearly defined and followed with little to no discretion. **What You’ll Need:** + Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program. + Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job. + Ability to effectively communicate. + Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Organizational skills with an inquisitive approach. + Simple math skills.
