The purpose of an internship at Woodward is to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure and “real life” business acumen within the Aerospace and Energy Industry. Our internships also provide students with the opportunity to learn and gain practical experience and to work in areas related to their academic and/or career interests. Gain hands-on experience while working on challenging projects, network with professionals and learn from some of the brightest minds in business.
The experience also gives the intern opportunity for potential full-time employment with the company.
What you will be doing
Assisting in the documentation of standard accounting procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.Conducting research on automation tools and techniques that can enhance accounting processes.Implementing automation solutions under the guidance of senior team members.Collaborating with the accounting team to support various projects and daily operations.Utilizing Excel for data analysis, reporting, and to create efficiencies in accounting tasks.Providing general support to the accounting team as needed.What We Are Looking For
Basic familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas, functions, and pivot tables effectively.An interest in automation and technology, with some knowledge of automation tools or a willingness to learn.Enthusiasm for learning and professional development in the field of accounting.Education or Formal Training
Must be a Junior majoring in Accounting at an accredited College or University and have an acceptable grade point average.
Experience Required
No experience required. Previous internship or other working experience, a plus.
